How long is a Standard Lease for?
All Altierra Properties Leases are for a period of 12 months. After 12 months the resident will have the option to renew for an additional 12 months or their lease will continue on a month to month basis.
How much notice to I have to give when I decide to move out?

It is the law in Ontario that all residents must give the landlord of the property 60 days notice. You must do this in writing, either by fax or mail.

If my roommate moves out who is responsible for that portion of the lease?

ach resident on the lease is liable for the entire portion of the lease terms, jointly or severably. Even though a roommate moves out, the remainding residents are still responsible for all lease terms.

Protect your property and limit your liability!

All Altierra Residents are required to hold their own Tenant Insurance for their own contents and liability towards damage to the property due to fault of the Resident. Many Banks and Insurance Companies offer Tenant Insurance for a nominal cost. Before releasing the keys to your new home, your will need to provide proof that you hold Tenant Insurance and you must retain it throughout your tenancy.

For flood, loss of power, fire hazard, and other items constituting as a emergency, please contact your superintendent immediately and the Office number in the city you live.
LOCK OUTS due to loss of keys are not constitued an emergency.
